OUGD406 Lighting Induction (Studio Brief One)

We had a lighting induction in which we were taught how to use the studio light and how to set them up properly. I found it really interesting as I have done studio photography before, however it was nice to recap over everything, and also the equipment at uni is a little different than it was at my old college.

These are some of the successful photographs that I took of my book bindings. I think it was very useful and I definitely want to use the studio to photograph some more of my final products in the future, as it makes them look really finished and professional. We had to set up our books and take a photo without editing the lighting. This was the result, which was very yellow.

We then took a photo of a grey piece of card and changed the white balance to match the black card. Then the photos looked a lot better and crisper.

These are some of the photos that I took of my books, unedited.
